'Tyari wan pai en taki tangi' means 'bring an offering and say your thanks' in Sranan Tongo, Suriname's Creole language. This sculptural piece uses archival practices, taking on an anthropological approach to objects and relics, and playing with altered histories. Inspiration for this piece is largely drawn from ancestral practices in Winti spiritualism, exploring the intergenerational interconnections between those of the African diaspora.
